Noah's Ark of Central Florida

Empowering people who have developmental disabilities to live, laugh and love

Noah’s Nest

site NN

Noah’s Nest is our first “in-town” initiative. Our first supported-living home was completed and occupied in early 2003 and is currently “home” to three residents. Our second and third supported-living homes were completed and occupied mid-2007 and are “home” to eight residents. We also have a two-story garage with an apartment on the second floor (affectionately called the “penthouse”) which is home to two residents.

Noah’s Nest is conveniently located in the East Lake Morton Historic District near downtown Lakeland, Florida. There are several churches, shopping, restaurants, a library, an art museum, a community theater, employment, a college, a lovely park and gardens and three beautiful lakes all within walking distance. For those more distant trips, there is a public bus system just a few blocks away.

All of the homes at Noah’s Nest will provide our residents with their own private bedroom and bathroom. The second story apartment is a two bedroom one bath home.

The homes are designed to be handicapped-friendly (with the exception of the apartment).  Each has an array of features including roll-in showers, wider hallway and doors, and an open design that makes day-to-day living easier for individuals who may need to use a wheelchair to assist with mobility.

Tours are available on Wednesday and Saturday mornings for individuals wishing to learn more about Noah’s Nest, Noah’s Landing, and other residential options.
