About Noah's Ark of Central Florida

Learn more about who we are and why we do what we do

Noah’s Ark of Central Florida was founded in 1997 to provide meaningful housing and lifestyle options for people with intellectual or developmental disabilities.

Mission

Noah’s Ark of Central Florida, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non profit organization committed to empowering individuals who have developmental disabilities by advocating on their behalf and by providing or facilitating choices of meaningful employment, recreational and social opportunities and affordable housing in an inclusive community of their choice.

History

In mid 1997, five families tried to envision what the future held for their intellectually/developmentally disabled children. Where would they live? Who would care for them? Would they have friends? Would they have a reasonable quality of life? Most importantly, how would they survive once their parents were no longer around to take care of them?

Find out how they answered these questions and came to establish Noah’s Ark of Central Florida. Learn More About Our History >>
