A message from Executive Director, Dave Bratcher
Three things were needed to make the tournament a success; A robust and focused committee with a cadre of volunteers that believe in the success of Noah’s Ark, Sponsors that believe in giving to the greater community in which they live, and golfers that come out and play to support of a worthy cause.
The past two years, we had a trifecta. The committee worked tirelessly, and at one point, they were down a member; however, she came back strong. The sponsors were very generous to the community, and the golfers all did their part; they showed up played had fun. One team even received a trophy for having the most fun (a high score of 85), and yes, I did have fun. Following the round of golf, there was fried chicken and all the fixings.
The giving did not stop with just the golf. The silent auction was a big hit, and some bidding wars ensued; items went from $75 to $1000.
I want to take this time to thank the committee chairs Suzanne Trueblood and Bernita Gigowski, for their hard work and consistent effort to pull off such a great event. We all know they had their posse out working to solicit raffle items, and they, too, did a great job. I cannot thank the sponsors enough; JBurns, Day and Night Tire, Saddle Creek Logistics, Cannon Automotive Group, Liberty Rebar, Summit Consulting, Germaine Surveying, Paoli family, Interstate Battery of Lakeland, Interstate Battery throughout the South East, Badcock & More Furniture, and Michael Curry to name a few.
Thank you for sharing your day with us; we look forward to seeing you again.
And last but not least, Noah’s Singers left me with goosebumps; thank you for being you.
