What is a special needs trust”
A special needs trust is a legal document (or a provision within a legal document) that provides for financial care for a person with “special needs” who may be receiving or may be eligible one day, for means-tested public benefits. Or, the special needs trust is intended for a person of financial means, but one who is incapable of handling the funds.
