Jim will be serving as Treasurer for Noah’s Ark, is currently the Vice President/General Manager of Lamar Advertising of Lakeland, where he has worked for over 30 years.
A graduate of McNeese State University, Jim and his wife Tracy have four children, including a daughter who has special needs.
Jim is the founder of the Noah’s Ark Fall Doubles Tennis Tournament, now in its 4th year.
Todd Edwards has worked with the Lakeland Police Department, from which he retired in 2019.
Todd worked a great deal with many of the marginalized communities in Lakeland, including the homeless community, those with disabilities, and other mental health issues. In addition, Todd has worked extensively with security personnel and professionals serving in the mental health field.
Todd brings an eye for security and safety to the board.
We’re excited about the community members joining our board, but equally thrilled about those who are staying on with us who have the historic knowledge about Noah’s Ark and all the work that has been done over the years to make it a reality.
Margaret McNutt is one of our co-founders who first helped turn a dream of Noah’s Ark into today’s reality.
Margaret has served on the board over the years and has a wonderful son, Jared, living on campus. Margaret serves on the Application Screening Committee, and shares her time leading a yoga class for residents, and coaching basketball at Kelly Rec and participating in golf with some of our residents.
Margaret has tirelessly given of herself to Noah’s Ark and we are delighted to have her continuing on our board!
Susan Harding is the Past President of the Board of Directors of Noah’s Ark.
Susan’s son, Adam, was a resident of Noah’s Nest before moving to The Villages at Noah’s Landing in July 2016.
Susan’s professional background is in financial and tax compliance. She has a deep understanding of the financial aspects of the organization, and the knowledge of what it takes to help us stay in compliance across the many facets of our community.
George J. Sells has been serving on the Board of Directors since May of 2020.
George is not only a parent of Ty, a resident of Noah’s Ark, he and his wife Lu have been active participants in the lives of the residents.
George serves the business community as the Vice President and Director of Business Development with ELAP services and has volunteered in the past with Special Olympics, along with numerous community activities here at Noah’s Ark.
Stacy Williams is a Certified Fund Raising Executive, a designation held by only a handful of professionals who demonstrate extensive knowledge in nonprofit leadership, fundraising and board governance.
Stacy has been working in the nonprofit community for 20+ years, with much of that time dedicated to serving individuals with special needs.
She has served on boards of numerous nonprofits in our community and holds the position of Managing Director with Carter Global, a well-respected consulting firm that serves nonprofits across the nation
Roxann Bonta is the Executive Director of Central Florida Speech and Hearing Center in Lakeland. She has a Master’s in Audiology along with a degree in audiology and speech pathology.
A Lakeland Rotarian, Roxann has extensive management experience and has served on boards including PACE Center for Girls and the Academy of Dispensing Audiologists.
Along with bringing years of nonprofit experience, Roxann has a special place in her heart for our population, and is excited about the serving our community.
Linda Harkins is the Vice President of Treasury Management at Bank of Central Florida, working since 2011.
Linda currently lives in Lakeland, Florida, with her husband and spends time with her daughter and grandchildren. She is also a novice golfer who made a hole in one while playing with her niece Katy, who had just won the bronze medal for golf at the Special Olympics National Competition.
Linda has engaged with our team since early on as part of the banking relationship we have with this wonderful bank, and has been on site at Noah’s Ark on numerous occasions.
Sonia is the Director of Development for Lakeland Volunteers in Medicine (LVIM).
Sonia has managed the annual LVIM Swan Derby which our residents participated in this year, and has been a board member of InnerAct Alliance. An alumna of Leadership Bartow (Class VXIII) and a participant of Leadership Polk 2021-2022 (Class XV),
Sonia brings leadership skills as well as significant nonprofit fundraising experience to the board.
Lisa has worked with Hall Communications of Lakeland since 2018. Previously, Lisa worked with both the operations and payroll functions, and will bring a wealth of expertise in these areas to the organization. A Lakeland native, Lisa’s organization skills and love of people will be a tremendous asset to the Board of Directors of Noah’s Ark.
Many of our residents and volunteers know Susy Aviles who has often been on campus teaching about health, safety and self-care. Susy is currently on staff with the Lakeland Police Department, where she has worked for 12 years.
She currently serves as a Crime Prevention and Elderly Services Practitioner.
Susy is also the President of the Lakeland Hispanic Club and takes pride in the planning and success of the annual Hispanic Festival.
